CHLORPYRIPHOS 10% GR

DESCRIPTION: Chlorpyriphos 10% Granules is used to control rice insects and contains 10% Chlorpyriphos active ingredient.

MODE OF ACTION : Broad-spectrum organophosphorus insecticide. It is a non-systemic insecticide with contact, stomach, and respiratory action.

FEATURES & BENEFITS :

  • FORCE-10 (Chlorpyriphos 10% GR) is used to control rice insects.
  • It works as a cholinesterase inhibitor.
  • For application in rice, 2–3 cm standing water should be available in the field.
  • Keep water impounded for 2–3 days after application.
  • It is incompatible with alkaline materials.
  • It is used to control Coleopteran, Diptera, Homopteran, and Lepidoptera in soil or on foliage.

ANTIDOTE:

  • Atropinize the patient immediately and maintain full atropinization by repeated doses of 2 to 4 mg of Atropine Sulphate intravenously at 5 to 10 minutes intervals. As much as 25 to 50 mg of Atropine may be required in a day. The need for further Atropine administration is guided by the continuance of symptoms. Extent of salivation is a useful criterion for dose adjustment.

  • Dissolve 1–2 gm of 2-PAM in 10 ml distilled water and inject intravenously very slowly over 10–15 minutes.
